Tilted Mash Brewing

June Newsletter

"Summer, summer, summertime..."
"School's out for summer!"
"We're cool for the summer."

No matter what genre or what decade, summer time is the best time of the year!! While the temps climb, and Tilted Mash is still at the mercy of an overworked swamp cooler; we have amazing crushable beers that will help keep you cool and refreshed all summer long.

Elk Grove Beer Fest

Thank you all for visiting our booth at the 2nd Annunal Elk Grove Beer Fest in Old Elk Grove! With so many breweries represented, we were proud (and quite surprised!) that our kegs of Younger Nelson TIPA and Summer in the Grove Pale Ale blew so quickly. Younger Nelson received an outstanding reception from all that were able to get a sample. This TRIPLE IPA will be hitting the taproom June 2nd with a SPECIAL CROWLER release. If you've never had the opportunity to participate in a special release, stay connected on our Facebook page, Instagram and Twitter feeds for details. It's so much more than just buying a Crowler!

So Seriously....Is Tilted Mash EVER Moving??

The latest news is that Tilted Mash is still awaiting permit approvals and final inspections. We currently do not have an ETA, but we hope to be serving in our new taproom by mid-summer.

TMB in News and Print

Jonathan, Reanna, and Kaydee were featured on Fox 40 Live to discuss the Elk Grove brewery scene and the sold out Brew Fest. Live television is always so much fun!! Check it out if you missed it here:  Fox40.com/?s=elk+grove+brewfest

Did you catch Derrick and Jonathan on YouTube talking about the BrewFest and the impact it has on the Elk Grove Craft Beer scene? Here's that link too: YouTube.com/watc?v=Mqrlrr3TJQ

Ardent for Life June-July issue will feature an article on Barrel Aged Beers. It's a great article highlighting why brewers barrel age specific beers and how the process works. Tilted Mash Brewing will be a regular contributor to the magazine in quarterly issues with articles about craft beer and the industry.

SAISON(S). Yeah, that's Happening

So...what had happened was Derrick was formulating a new beer while watching the NBA playoffs with his lovely wife, (YES..I am lovely!!) Ireen. He posed the question: "What fruit would pair well with rum?" Then began a conversation and brainstorming of what will become a Blackberry Rum Barrel Aged Saison. Obviously with anything barrel aged, this won't be in the taproom any time soon.

So what to do in the meantime? You brew two other varieties of saison! Stay posted about the release dates of these saisons by subscribing to our newsletter or following us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

Daddy Dave's Street BBQ

We LOVE our food vendors who enjoy coming out to Tilted Mash and feed our hungry customers. BUT our favorite food truck is Daddy Dave's Street BBQ! If you didn't already know, this truck is owned and operated by David Martinez, our own Jonathan's brother. We are pleased to have Daddy Dave's as our resident food vendor every Saturday throughout the summer. We have other vendors scheduled on Fridays, but expect Daddy Dave's to be a fixture in the Tilted Mash lot until September. You can follow Daddy Dave's on Facebook: www.Facebook.com/DaddyDavesBBQ
