Trick or Treat!!
It's the BEST time of year!! Cooler temperatures and shorter days. Sweaters and warm fires. Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING! And Halloween!! A new month means another post about the treats awaiting you at Tilted Mash this October.
California Craft Beer Summit 2016
This amazing event took place in September. We were thrilled to participate with so many of our local breweries and those throughout California. The Tilted Mash Team spent time networking with fellow brewers, attended educational seminars, and received advice from industry leaders which was invaluable. It was great to see so many familiar faces come out and support us at the Brewfest too. We hope to be a part of this event for many years to come as the craft beer industry grows and evolves.
Beer Pairings Dinner with Bobby Estacio
Oktoberfest may be over in Munich, Germany. But here in the States and the rest of the world, the whole month of October is reason enough to celebrate Oktoberfest. With so many different festivals revolving around food and beer this month, we pay homage to the tradition of Oktoberfest with our first ever Tilted Mash Pairings Dinner.
Our friend, Bobby Estacio of Toro Tamales, will be putting together an incredible menu featuring seasonal, local ingredients to pair with a few selections from our beer menu. As an exclusive, we will be debuting our new Vienna Lager at this event. Ticket to this event will be limited and available at the taproom during regular business hours and online at TiltedMash.com.
We are excited and proud to host the Sacramento Chapter of Barley's Angel on Thursday October 13th. Here's some information about this organization and how to become a member:
Barley’s Angels is an international Women’s Craft Beer Appreciation group. Our local Sacramento Chapter held its inaugural meeting during the 2016 Sacramento Beer Week festivities and currently meets quarterly. Our group focuses on creating a non-intimidating space for women to learn about and enjoy craft beer. The group was created to provide an educational and social format for all women, from professional brewers, to homebrewers, to those who are just curious learn what craft beer really is. We meet to have some delicious beer, share in comradery, learn about ingredients, styles, history, and to create a one on one relationship with the breweries in the Sacramento Region. Our events are usually about 2 hours, and include tasters / flights and an educational component, often with the brewer leading the discussion and / or tour. We contribute to a local charity after every meeting, and raffle off prizes at the end of the meeting.
